SHOWA Motocross A-Kit

SHOWA Motocross A-Kit uses technologies developed in conjunction with OEM Factory motocross teams on the most demanding racing circuits in the world; MX-GP in Europe, and the AMA Supercross, Motocross, and Super MX circuits in the USA.

Among other applied friction reducing technologies, Dimplush and Emerald Coating are now commercially available to off-road riders and racers world-wide in the form of SHOWA A-Kit suspension packages.

Dimplush

To achieve reduced friction and improved performance for the fork and shock, a micro surface texturing technology, named "Dimplush", is a new approach to improving the lubrication along the inner surface of the outer fork tube and shock body. The micro-dimple process reduces friction by 10 to 20% and is optimized to realize low friction and high durability.

Emerald Coating

Showa's first thin film forming technology. The fork slider and shock piston-rod surfaces are polished by a special process to achieve reduced friction and then treated with a multi-layer, titanium based, emerald color coating that is superior in hardness and wear resistance to maintain long-lasting performance.
