SHOWA Performance Suspension Kits use technologies developed in conjunction with OEM Factory road-racing teams on the most demanding racing circuits in the world.
Featuring Balance-Free damping circuits and titanium-based friction reducing coatings, SHOWA's most advanced suspension technology is now commercially available to riders and racers world-wide.
Balance-Free
Instead of the conventional single-tube layout, Balance Free Forks and Shocks use a double-tube design; the damper case and an internal cylinder. The damper piston is solid and features no orifices or valves. Instead, the damping force is generated as displaced oil passes through separate damping valve units. Balance Free suspension delivers more consistent damping over the duration of a ride, plus improved shock absorption and therefore greater traction since contact is more consistently maintained between the tires and the road or track surface.
Titanium or Emerald Coatings
Showa's first thin film forming technology. The fork slider and shock piston-rod surfaces are polished by a special
process to achieve reduced friction and then treated with a multi-layer, titanium-based color coating that is superior
in hardness and wear resistance to maintain longlasting performance.
